Overseas Work Continues Amid Prayers for Afghanistan

Just because we have not written any posts this week about Ting Ministries teams overseas does not mean ministry does not continue. In fact each team has been extremely busy and the needs are urgent and sometimes almost overwhelming. I have been busy working on some connections for some people trapped in Afghanistan.

Abigail’s Story: Parts 1 and 2

“My name is Abigail. Since my grandparents we are all Buddhist. I have three children.
I used to work all day long at cultivation in the field. But we do not have any rest days because soils are not fertile and we didn’t get enough food from the cultivation. Besides, we do not have any other income in our village and places.
Since my grandparents are Buddhist, we used to practice as per our Buddhist traditions. But I really wasn’t satisfied in my heart at this. Because we didn’t see any differences such as activities, behaviors and lifestyle etc. One day I was very much thinking and disappointed about our religion and just during that time someone told me in my ears that you should change your belief. I looked around to see who spoke to me about this but I didn’t find any person. Since then, I told my husband everything that I have faced in my heart. My husband also agreed with all of my thinking. Then, one day my husband and I joined the fellowship in our village which they used to do Bible studies every night. During the Bible studies, the topic was “Christian family” (Ephesians 5:25). The ministry leader was sharing in detail and nicely and our hearts were delighted because we never ever heard that kind of words. After the finish, the Bible studies group has invited us again to join every next fellowship. We used to join and during the topic was “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).The Pastor’s sermon was very powerful and touched in our hearts that without Jesus there is no way, truth and life. After the fellowship service, we invited the pastor to our house and shared with us again about eternal life. Then, we know we are sinners and we confess our sins and pray to Him for forgiveness. And accepted Jesus Christ is our Lord and personal Savior.
Since we changed from our religion, God is so blessed in our family, food, lifestyle and everything. Our hearts are full of peace, love and harmony. Our God is a true and living God. He controls everything. We thank God for choosing us as His sons. We really thank God for responding to all of my thoughts!
We are always joining the Bible studies and church services. We really enjoyed the Bible studies and church services. We are learning more and more about the word of God. We are also trying to share about the word of God to our neighbors. Please pray for us.”
Please join us in praying for Abigail’s family, and other new believers in South Asia! We are blessed to hear of their delight in the Lord and how they are sharing the Gospel with their neighbors. Happy Father’s Day from Ting Ministries!

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
We want to honor all the fathers who are part of Ting Ministries around the world. They are fathers to many children – through birth, adoption, or ministry. They are carrying forth the Gospel, making disciples and training up their own children according to Proverbs 22:6. Please pray for these fathers – that the Lord would strengthen and encourage, uphold and sustain, and protect and bless them in their ministry, family and the work of their hands for God’s glory.

Mei Mei House, Reaching Children in Slavery and Other June Projects

Philippines

Our Filipino pastor and team need funds for the completion of the new home for at-risk girls named The Mei Mei house. The total needed for completion of the Mei Mei house is approximately $5,000. He said the cement that is needed to be poured is about $1,000 of that $5,000. The Tin Tin house for boys is nearly complete and ready to use.

Our team in the Philippines also asked us yesterday morning for help for orphans in Marawi. They are orphaned from the war with Abu Sayyaf ( ISIS) from a few years ago. They are in a Muslim camp and are in forced labor by the rebels. Many of them run away. Our team has been asked.to help with these orphans. This is why the completion of the Mei Mei and Tin Tin homes  are so important; these homes will provide shelter for these children rescued from slave labor.

Pakistan

The Brick Kiln Sunday School for children of the forced laborers continues. Praise God for His light going forth in the midst of grim and desperate circumstances. School materials (books, papers, pencils) are always needed for children who attend each week.

We are also helping with medical costs for this little boy with special needs.

Romania

Funds are needed to purchase and then send coloring books explaining the Gospel in Romanian to Cristina in Romania. We are slowing making inroads with children in the village.

We also have been building a pen for some of the rescued pups because of the volume of rescues and the need for a place to keep some separated, especially moms with puppies. We just had 5 go to the UK to families forever. Slowly through animal rescue in Romania the Gospel is being shared and praying for hearts to be changed 1 person at a time. As hearts change then better care of animals will also happen.
