Revival in the Philippines

Ting Ministries Philippines – many photos to encourage you and give you a glimpse into the ministry going on now.

These photos say it all – revival among the youth! Our pastor says the youth are learning to love the children so they too can go and be a light in a dark world!

Some of the boys are getting special teaching from a tutor because they did not have education but thanks to a sponsor here in the USA they are able to have special lessons. Thank you to their sponsors – you know who you are!

Ting Ministries pastor and his wife are traveling to Malaysia to help Filipino children . Some of these children are orphans and we hope and pray to eventually bring them to Tin Tin’s House to care for them, educate them and love them as the precious children they are.

Please consider helping Ting Ministries Philippines with the many needs in the Philippines and building the Tin Tin House.

In Honor of Avigayil: Construction Beginning For Tin Tin’s House

“Let us build a foundation for the homeless kids here sister. Let’s build a home for them that one day they can have the eternal home in heaven… my heart cries for the homeless every day…” Pastor John, Philippines

We are writing today with news that we have raised the first $2,000 for Tin Tin’s Home in the Philippines. In honor of Avigayil “Tin Tin,” this home will allow Pastor John in the Philippines to bring more children home, like the ones in the pictures above. Pastor John and team just found these children, alone and naked, wandering the streets. Our hearts ache for these children. Tin Tin’s home will give them a safe place to live, the ability to go to school and most importantly – the chance to be part of a family. Because of Avi’s adoption, Pastor John’s heart was moved for the orphan and he has already taken in over 20 former street boys – and while the family’s hearts have room for more, they need to build a place for the children to live, adding a building next to Pastor John’s home.

Many of you have asked how our family, particularly Stephanie, is doing. Stephanie is heartbroken with grief over the loss of Avi – and it is the need of these children that is keeping her going. So today, we Stephanie’s deepest wish to you:

In honor of Avi, will you help us build Tin Tin’s home? This project will cost approximately $20,000. With the first part raised, we can now start building the foundation on faith.

If you would like to give a gift to help Tin Tin’s Home become reality and to help Avigayil’s life make a difference for children in the Philippines:

Mala’s Testimony: From TM Bangladesh Children’s Home

“I do not have my parents. My father and mother died when I was 7 years old. I could not remember this time in my mind because I was so small. My father was died of Malaria and over the year my mother died of dysentery .told my uncle’s. Since then I was staying at my uncle’s house and I thought that I am an unluckiest among the girl in this world because I do have father and mother. Sometimes I felt very lonely, because I do not have parents of my own.

My uncle’s family is very poor. Since we live in the remote part of our country, our lives are very difficult to survive here. Sometime we can eat food only one time in a day. When there is no food in our home we go to jungle to find plant root and cook or boil it.

I get up early in the morning to fetch water from the fountain and cook food. After that I go work in the fields with my uncle and aunt, helping to them in the fields the whole day as much as I can.
Since my uncle is very poor, our pastor sometimes collects used clothes from local church members and that’s all I have. I wore them until they torn or whole the year. If the clothes are wet I cannot change it. If my father and mother are still alive I can tell them that I need clothes and they could buy for me.

I would like to go to school very much but there are no any schools in the villages. Our pastor has already built a home for orphans; I am very excited to stay and study at the home! So that I may not face difficulties in my future life. (TM home and school below).

Thank you so much and pray for me. Mala.”

Mala is waiting for a Ting Friend to help support her to go to school, in prayer, and encouragement! Learn how to become Mala’s Ting Friend HERE.

Go and Do – Help for the Philippines

For those who may not know, Ting Ministries started its work in the Philippines.

We provided aid to one little girl, in one orphanage. That little girl is now Avigayil Carpenter, daughter of Brian and Stephanie. Because of her adoption, 30+ former Muslim street boys now have a home with Pastor John’s family. Over 1,300 people recieved medical care through last week’s outreach. Children and refugees were rescued from ISIS. Recognizing the difference Pastor John and our team are making, our TM Philippines team is constantly asked to take in more children wherever they go. It is our largest place of ministry, but remains heavily under-supported.

Many times, our team find people living in terrible situations and our hearts are broken. Pastor John went to visit the grandmother of two children his family has taken in.

There, they found a young girl with a child living in a makeshift tent, in squalor (pictured below). They have taken in these young kids, because their hearts were burdened for them and they listened to God’s call to fulfill James 1:27. “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unpolluted by the world.”

Dear friends, we need your help to continue our ministry in the Philippines and reaching these children with the love of Christ. Prayer is a large part of how we can support one another in the body of Christ. However, meeting practical, tangible needs when confronted with them is an equally important part of our work for the children who are in these desperate situations.

“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.” ~ James 2:14-17

Pastor John and his wife need our help to continue the work the Lord has placed in front of them. Children and situations like these are not an exception – they are the norm. Ting Ministries has a heart to reach even more, and we plan to build a house in the property next to where Pastor John lives, so that he can continue to take in more children. Would you consider how you can help?

You can become a Ting Friend for one of our Filipino children for 30 dollars/month. As a Ting Friend, you will: recieve a picture and info about your friend, become a prayer partner, and support your friend as they grow in the Lord. Contact us at: tingministries@comcast.net for more info.

You can help us build a large addition to Pastor John’s house so he can take in more children OR  give a one time donation of any amount to help with the greatest needs in the Philippines. If you’d like to give, you can: 1. give online at: www.paypal.me/Tingministries or send a check to: Ting Ministries, 29 East Poplar Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Please specify: Pastor John’s house or Greatest need.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Our Team is grateful for all you do.
