FULLY FUNDED Christmas Project 2020: Tin Tin’s House

Update with New Photos: November 25, 2020

A Special Message from Stephanie, co-director of Ting Ministries

“My heart is full and aching at the same time! Thank you to Ting Ministries supporters….
Tin Tin’s House is soon a dream made a reality. All because of one amazing precious girl who the world would have discarded. She will always be my princess and special treasure. This is so bitter sweet and I am so thankful for my faith in Jesus Christ because without that nothing would make sense. Even so…the house is built with love and tears! Thank you!”

Update: November 21, 2020 (Appeared on Social Media)

We have a huge announcement to share! We are blessed to report that our 2020 Christmas project, Tin Tin’s House, has been FULLY FUNDED by a generous donor!
This news comes just days after we shared this goal with you, our supporters! Tin Tin’s house is named after Avigayil Christina “Tin Tin” Carpenter, the adopted Filipina daughter of Brian and Stephanie, the founders and co-directors of Ting Ministries. Tin Tin’s house has been a dream of Stephane’s for two years and she is so thankful that her prayers for this home have been answered!
This home will allow our pastor in the Philippines to take in 10+ orphans and street children who are need of shelter and counseling. They will experience the love of a family and most importantly, of Jesus Christ.
When we have pictures of the completed home, we will share them joyfully with you! Until then, thank you for your support – and be on the lookout for our upcoming Christmas catalogue, with gift ideas that will benefit Ting Ministries’ partners around the world!
Thank you very much and to God be the Glory!

Dear friends of Ting Ministries,
We at Ting Ministries in the US and around the world would like to thank you for your faithful support. Though these past months have held unexpected circumstances for us all, your support has blessed us as it has allowed ministry to continue in these difficult times. Recently, our partners in the Philippines have been serving families devastated by the typhoons which pummeled the entirety of the Philippines last week. Yesterday, they collected a special offering for families who lost children in other cities. Through the support of Ting Ministries donors, families also received food and were able to be transferred to a small temporary shelter. We and our pastor’s family in the Philippines were blessed by the support received in the face of this emergency situation. Many children have been left without homes or resources following the horrific flooding.

This week, Pastor John* (not real name) bought a small, dilapidated building close to their own home and materials to make conditions livable for 4 orphans which they will take in. He also applied for a government clearance to bring more homeless kids to the local children’s center. Now, it is our deepest desire at Ting Ministries, to complete Tin Tin’s House. The dream of Tin Tin’s House began after Avigayil “Tin Tin,” the beloved daughter of Brian and Stephanie (co-directors and founders of Ting Ministries) who was adopted from the Philippines, went home to Jesus two years ago.
Avigayil
Tin Tin’s house will be equipped to provide a home to more than 10 children. They will receive meals, education, counseling and learn about Jesus through Pastor John and his family. This on-going project is in addition to the small structure that Pastor John just bought this week. Over the past couple years, you have heard us often share about Tin Tin’s home and seen updates from the Philippines. Pastor John and his family have been working tirelessly – they completed much construction of the house themselves, never quitting, even when funds slowed or stopped. Now, we are so close to seeing the dream be realized!
This year, we are praying and aiming for Tin Tin’s House to be completed by Christmas! $5,000 is all that is needed to complete this project – and with the dire situation facing so many families affected by flooding, the need has never been greater!
Please, will you help us to make Christmas 2020 unforgettable for our ministry partners?! This project is so near and dear to Stephanie’s heart – it would be the best Christmas present ever for her and children in-need!

Thank you for changing the lives of children with the Gospel this Christmas! To God be the Glory!

Update: Yasim’s Prosthetic is Funded!

UPDATE: August 20, 2020
Praise in Pakistan: Yasim’s Prosthetic is Fully Funded!
We’d like to send a special thank you to the Ting Minisistries’ supporter who made this possible! We are praising the Lord for another example of his faithful provision and are so blessed to know that Yasim* will receive the estimated cost for his prosthetic! We can’t wait for him to hear the news! A prosthetic will be life-changing, enabling him to work again. What an answer to prayer, for the Team Ting family, in Pakistan and the US!
Psalm 111:1-4: “Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord!”

Dear friends, if you received our latest newsletter and addendum, you likely saw two needs we shared with you about a 23-year old amputee and a young girl in need treatment for a broken femur. We are blessed to be able to tell you that Liyana* (not real name, pictured below) has received the estimated funds needed for her femur to be treated by a doctor! Liyana is the daughter of a poor Christian family and she must work in a kiln with her parents. An accident at work left her unable to bear weight on her leg for FOUR years! Can you even imagine? We are praising God for His provision and we hope that Liyana will be able to receive the care she needs for her leg to heal properly!
In our summer newsletter, we also told you about Yasim* (not real name) who survived an automatic rickshaw collission but lost his leg as a result of the accident. Yasim needs a prosthetic leg at an estimated cost of $720. He would be so grateful to receive a prosthetic as it would enable him to be able to work again!
Would you prayerfully consider a financial gift to help Yasim, just as we were able to bless Liyana? We couldn’t continue ministry without our supporters! Thank you for your prayers and continued support – they are truly life-sustaining and making a difference around the world!
100% of your financial gift will go directly to ministry partners who are helping Yasim in-country!

Pillow & Blanket Challenge – UPDATE from May 29!

A special donor has covered the cost of 22 pillows with a gift of $110! This international teenager, who wishes to remain anonymous, has given out of their own small savings to help orphans. To the donor, from Ting Ministries’ heart to yours, THANK YOU! May the Lord bless you richly for obeying His instruction in James 1:27. “Let no one look down on you, because you are young, but set an example for the believers…” (1 Timothy 4:12).

While as the widow with two mites, this gift may seem small to others. But we rejoice knowing the compassion with which this teenager gave from what she had!

With this generous gift, we need only 7 more pillows ($5 each = $30 total). And 30 blankets, $7 each. Help us meet a small tangible need in a child’s life and in doing so, share the love of Christ to make a lasting difference.

The Widow and Her Two Mites: “Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.'” Mark 12:41-44
