Ting Ministries & Mission Animal Rescue: Baby Bunnies

What do baby bunnies have to do with the Gospel? For Team Ting – everything!

Proverbs 12:10

Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast,
but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

Team Ting found this nest of baby bunnies on a playground yesterday! It looked as if the mama hadn’t been back for a couple days. The babies were shivering in the chilly weather and terrified due to the loud and busy environment!

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. Matthew 10:29

Together, a group of young adults brought the baby bunnies to safety and cared for them.

From abandoned and uncared for, the baby bunnies were quickly loved and cared for by the group. They were tenderly held, wrapped in warmth and fed by hand through syringes.

When the bunnies are grown enough, they will be released into the surrounding wildlife.

Many may wonder: why? Of what importance are abandoned bunnies? James 2:14-16 says:

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

The simple act of caring for baby bunnies is in accordance with walking in obedience to God’s Word and caring for His creation. The young adults who gave of their time, efforts and resources could have walked away. But they chose to do something. It is the small things, unnoticed by the world, but done with much love and obedience, which prepare us for the future ministry the Lord gives us. The Lord used a nest of baby bunnies and willing hearts to demonstrate His protection and compassion. (Psalm 50:10-11)

The story of the baby bunnies has already encouraged the hearts of believers across the world. Through Ting Ministries,  animals, children, orphans & widows, slaves & at-risk families are being served, strengthened and protected across the world.

How much more will He use us to share His love with the least of these? See how the Lord is moving below. We must start somewhere. We must do something.

Do Something song by Matthew West: “I woke up this morning Saw a world full of trouble now, thought How’d we ever get so far down, and How’s it ever gonna turn around So I turned my eyes to Heaven I thought, ‘God, why don’t You do something?’

Team Ting pastors visits families trapped in slavery carrying out the command of James 1:27

Well, I just couldn’t bear the thought of people living in poverty Children sold into slavery The thought disgusted me So, I shook my fist at Heaven Said, ‘God, why don’t You do something?’

Ting Ministries frees children from slavery on brick kilns

He said, “I did, yeah, I created you”

(now listen) If not us, then who If not me and you

Right now, it’s time for us to do something, yeah If not now, then when Will we see an end To all this pain Oh, it’s not enough to do nothing It’s time for us to do something

I’m so tired of talking about How we are God’s hands and feet But it’s easier to say than to be Live like angels of apathy who tell ourselves It’s alright, ‘somebody else will do something’

Team Ting undercover in a rebel camp secretly sharing the love, light and truth of Jesus Christ in the midst of danger

Well, I don’t know about you But I’m sick and tired of life with no desire I don’t want a flame, I want a fire and I wanna be the one who stands up and says ‘I’m gonna do something’

If not us, then who If not me and you Right now, it’s time for us to do something, yes it is, come on If not now, then when Will we see an end To all this pain Oh oh, it’s not enough to do nothing It’s time for us to do something

Join the Team! Get involved – do something!

We are the salt of the earth We are a city on a hill We’re never gonna change the world By standing still No, we won’t stand still No, we won’t stand still No, we won’t stand still No

If not us, then who If not me and you Right now It’s time for us to do something If not now, then when Will we see an end To all this pain It’s not enough to do nothing

It’s time for us to do something…”
