“…Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.
1 Peter 1:13 NLT
It is 9 weeks and still my words fail me…God’s Word does not. Missing our girl with every breath! The ministry and the needs of orphans and needy around the world continue.
The Tin Tin house in the Philippines will be built and many have already given and are praying. A special thank you to everyone. We have received the first professional drawings of what Tin Tin’s House will look like.
Ting Ministries continues to raise funds for the Tin Tin House and many other needs in the Philippines ( as well as many other countries). Three of the boys have received sponsors since Christmas. Thank you!
Just today the team in the Philippines gave gifts to over 400 poor and needy.
“Let us build a foundation for the homeless kids here sister. Let’s build a home for them that one day they can have the eternal home in heaven… my heart cries for the homeless every day…” Pastor John, Philippines
We are writing today with news that we have raised the first $2,000 for Tin Tin’s Home in the Philippines. In honor of Avigayil “Tin Tin,” this home will allow Pastor John in the Philippines to bring more children home, like the ones in the pictures above. Pastor John and team just found these children, alone and naked, wandering the streets. Our hearts ache for these children. Tin Tin’s home will give them a safe place to live, the ability to go to school and most importantly – the chance to be part of a family. Because of Avi’s adoption, Pastor John’s heart was moved for the orphan and he has already taken in over 20 former street boys – and while the family’s hearts have room for more, they need to build a place for the children to live, adding a building next to Pastor John’s home.
Many of you have asked how our family, particularly Stephanie, is doing. Stephanie is heartbroken with grief over the loss of Avi – and it is the need of these children that is keeping her going. So today, we Stephanie’s deepest wish to you:
In honor of Avi, will you help us build Tin Tin’s home? This project will cost approximately $20,000. With the first part raised, we can now start building the foundation on faith.
If you would like to give a gift to help Tin Tin’s Home become reality and to help Avigayil’s life make a difference for children in the Philippines:

From all of us here at Ting Ministries – thank you!
Who remembers Ting Ministries’ Bed for Boys Project? These photos of our TM boys in the Philippines enjoying these new beds will put a smile on your face tonight! Thanks to all our generous supporters who helped purchase the beds and covers! Our boys give you a big THANK YOU! They are so grateful for the bunk beds!
If you are interested in helping more children in the Philippines, you can become a TM friend to one of our boys and help them go to school. One time gifts also are appreciated. Learn more HERE. Have a good night, everyone!
For those who may not know, Ting Ministries started its work in the Philippines.
We provided aid to one little girl, in one orphanage. That little girl is now Avigayil Carpenter, daughter of Brian and Stephanie. Because of her adoption, 30+ former Muslim street boys now have a home with Pastor John’s family. Over 1,300 people recieved medical care through last week’s outreach. Children and refugees were rescued from ISIS. Recognizing the difference Pastor John and our team are making, our TM Philippines team is constantly asked to take in more children wherever they go. It is our largest place of ministry, but remains heavily under-supported.
Many times, our team find people living in terrible situations and our hearts are broken. Pastor John went to visit the grandmother of two children his family has taken in.
There, they found a young girl with a child living in a makeshift tent, in squalor (pictured below). They have taken in these young kids, because their hearts were burdened for them and they listened to God’s call to fulfill James 1:27. “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unpolluted by the world.”
Dear friends, we need your help to continue our ministry in the Philippines and reaching these children with the love of Christ. Prayer is a large part of how we can support one another in the body of Christ. However, meeting practical, tangible needs when confronted with them is an equally important part of our work for the children who are in these desperate situations.
“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.” ~ James 2:14-17
Pastor John and his wife need our help to continue the work the Lord has placed in front of them. Children and situations like these are not an exception – they are the norm. Ting Ministries has a heart to reach even more, and we plan to build a house in the property next to where Pastor John lives, so that he can continue to take in more children. Would you consider how you can help?
You can become a Ting Friend for one of our Filipino children for 30 dollars/month. As a Ting Friend, you will: recieve a picture and info about your friend, become a prayer partner, and support your friend as they grow in the Lord. Contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
You can help us build a large addition to Pastor John’s house so he can take in more children OR give a one time donation of any amount to help with the greatest needs in the Philippines. If you’d like to give, you can: 1. give online at: www.paypal.me/Tingministries or send a check to: Ting Ministries, 29 East Poplar Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Thank you to all our TM supporters who have partnered to buy beds so far! We couldn’t continue to help the orphan without you!
Update: Monday, May 21, 2018
Half of the beds for our TM boys in the Philippines are paid for! Thank you to all the donors who have helped meet this need so far. We only need 390 USD to provide beds for all of the boys in the Philippines. Can you help us reach our goal for the remaining three beds? If everyone who looked at our last update gave two dollars, we’d reach our goal! Thanks for helping us make a lasting impact through meeting practical needs in the Philippines. See the bottom of this post for details on how you can partner with our Beds for Boys project.
UPDATE: Sunday, May 20, 2018
Thank you to the generous donor (you know who you are!) who donated another bed for the boys in the Philippines! We now need only 469 DOLLARS to pay for ALL the beds! See below to learn how you can give to this practical, but much-needed project!
Update: May 19, 2018
We have raised enough funds for over one bed so far in our Beds for Boys Project!
This means we need ONLY 599 more dollars to raise to provide beds for all the street boys Pastor John has taken into his family. For our TM family in the Philippines, the cost of obeying the command of James 1:27 and following our Lord’s heart for the orphan means the boys are currently sleeping on a cement floor. While most grateful for a family, they would be amazed to know that others have helped meet this practical need in their lives. You can read the original post and learn how to donate below.
Pastor John in the Philippines has taken in over 24 former street children in the Philippines. Along with sponsoring these children to go to school our TM team also supports Pastor John’s family so they can continue their outreach.
Four more boys recently joined Pastor John’s family. Along with Jeffery and Jerome (top image), there is…
Jimboy, the youngest child at 10 years old, in the white shirt…
and Isamark and Junnex!
Pastor John’s family is glad to open their home to these boys in need. Two of them lost their parents a month ago. Some of them do not even know their own birthdays. All the boys in Pastor John’s family are going to school through the help of TM supporters. They started a small business and when they finish school, they plan to help other street children, like their dad, Pastor John.
Pastor John has shared a practical but important need. His family wants to purchase bunk beds for the boys. Right now, they are all sleeping on a cement floor! Can you imagine? While the boys are simply thankful to have a family, we hope you will consider helping meet this practical need in their lives! The boys pray for our TM family and would be so blessed to receive the beds!
Each bed costs 130 USD and Pastor John needs 6 beds to accommodate all the boys. That’s a total of 780 USD. The beds will be purchased in country to save on overseas shipping costs and practical transportation. 100% of every donation to Ting Ministries goes to the need you specify.
